Pageant to Select Irondale Representative in Ms. Senior Alabama Pageant

Here is your chance to witness the selection of the senior treasure who will represent Irondale at the Ms. Senior Alabama Pageant!

crownDon't miss the very first Ms. Senior Irondale Pageant on Saturday, April 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Shades Valley High School auditorium (entrance and parking in the back, to the right).

Advance tickets can be purchased at the Irondale Senior Activity Center:  $4/seniors/students and $6/adults.  At the door, tickets will be $5/seniors/students and $7/adults.  For more information, call the Senior Activity Center at (205) 951-1418.

First Annual Irondale Spring Fest!

The First Annual Irondale Spring Fest will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 11 AM to 8 PM at The Station at Grants Mill.  Admission is free!

This exciting, family event will feature arts and crafts, vendors, children's activities, health & dance, $5 meal deals, live music, and so much more!

Irondale residents and business owners will definitely want to visit the Regional Planning Commission booth and participate in polling about Irondale's new comprehensive city planning project.

19th Annual JCA Golf Invitational

Jefferson Christian Academy (JCA) will sponsor its 19th Annual Golf Invitational at Castle Pine Country Club on Thursday, April 23, with a shot gun start at 8:00 AM.

BBQ for Building

Habitat BBQ logoThe 7th Annual BBQ for Building will take place on Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 AM at the Habitat ReStore in Irondale.  Join Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham as amateur teams compete in a barbecue cook-off for the title of Grand Champion and People's Choice!

Attendees will have a chance to sample each team's fares and cast their vote for the People's Choice category.  And all can enjoy live music from the Stephen McCullough Band and fun for the entire family, with a moon bounce, face painting, and Home Depot Kids Workshop for the youth.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate, and all proceeds go to fund Habitat Birmingham's housing programs. Children 12 and under are free. BBQ sampling and sodas from the Coca-Cola trailer are included in the ticket price.
